Fitting instructions
Wood flooring can be laid in three distinct ways.
Floating :
This is the easiest method which is becoming more common. The blocks are fitted together and placed on the floor. They can be laid over a layer of underlay or sound insulating material.
Laying floating wood flooring without glue "2beclic"
The new 2beclic system is easy to fit (no need for an end-interlocking tool) and allows significant time savings when laying flooring.
Laying floating wood flooring with glue
This is the classic method of laying laminate flooring, and is based on glued tongue-and-groove assembly.
Nailed :
This is the traditional method which is still very common for solid wood flooring. The strips are nailed to battens that are loose laid to the sub-floor to form a level surface.
Stick-down :
This is a less expensive method and is the most commonly used. It is suitable for all types of wood flooring and all types of sub-floor.
