Saw marks are still visible on the wood in some places – this shows its authenticity   and character, and is exactly what makes it so special. What’s more, it adds significant value to the product. With the Salvagio range, Panaget is proudly and firmly focusing on the raw state of living wood, with all of its graining and veining – just as nature intended it to be. The range presents the material at its absolute finest and in its true natural glory, with its irregularities representing the high quality of this flooring. This type of wood also naturally improves and gains a polished sheen over time. Unlike other floor manufacturers, Panaget doesn’t use any artificial ageing processes – it is 100 per cent committed to excellence, and to offering parquet flooring which is unlike any other.

An oil finish serving a contemporary wood floor

Panaget prides itself on creating natural, authentic products in every respect. This is why they have opted for a subtle oiled finish – a clear sign of its commitment to environmental protection. The finish used is a natural product made of a mix of oils and vegetable seeds, which is kind to the environment and has a very low VOC (volatile organic compound) content of 0.003 per cent. The oil is applied to the wood in the factory, which means that products are ready to use. What’s more, it creates an “old polish” look and an attractive, ultra-modern matt effect – this refines the colour and adds depth. This oiled finish is remarkable in many respects – not only does it protect and colour the wood, it also preserves its natural look and feel.
